Imagine my surprise Monday morning when I saw a mystery message from my friend Cathy Armato at Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them. She had included me in a post she had written that I should check out. Clearly, the news was good.
Cathy nominated McSquare Doodles for the peer-to-peer blogging award: The Versatile Blogger! I'm honored to be recognized by a fellow blogger, a person who knows how much time and effort goes into publishing regularly, and a person who's become one of my favorite friends I met online.
Cathy writes about pet health & safety, including various product reviews, and how rewarding a relationship with a dog can be. She and her husband travel frequently with their two pups Icy, a Siberian Husky, and Phoebe, a Maltese/Havanese mix. Some of my favorite posts to read are about their adventures around different cities.
Cathy also writes about the therapy dog work she does with Icy. I know firsthand how soothing petting Icy can be. While I was at the BlogPaws 2018 Conference, I was missing Bernie and Lizzie. I spent several minutes rubbing Icy's belly and loving on her, and it was just what I needed. I was so involved with petting Icy that I didn't even notice the BlogPaws photographer snapping this picture of us, which says a lot about how magically absorbing Icy is because I am not a fan of my photo being taken.

I claim no regional affiliation. I was born in New Jersey. As a kid, I also lived in Oregon and Tennessee. As an adult, I've lived in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, and California.
I joined the fencing team in high school because I thought that would be the closest I would ever get to wielding a light saber!
Post-it notes make me tingly.
I'm an INFJ personality. The OCD is strong in me!
My 6th grade language arts teacher Mrs. Snellback (also my all-time favorite teacher) introduced me to a variety of new reading genres, including my favorite: science-fiction
There was a time in my life when I thought dogs were okay. Fine, I didn't really care for all of them...most of them. I saw them as co-dependent furrballs who I'd have to clean up after constantly. I resisted getting a dog. Now I want acres of land so we can fill our home with pups!
I own several pairs of critter non-skid socks that I love! So comfy.
Thank you again to Cathy Armato over at Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them for nominating me for this award! Be sure to check out her blog along with the 15 blogs I nominated. They all have interesting posts on a wide range of topics!
